Ingredients

  • 25Dried red chillies
  • 25-30 clovesgarlic (finely chopped)
  • 1.5 inchpiece of ginger(finely chopped)
  • 1medium sized onion (chopped)
  • 1 teaspoonsoy sauce
  • 1 teaspoonvinegar
  • 2 tablespoonketchup
  • 3 tablespoonsugar
  • 3 tablespoonolive oil
  • Salt (according to taste)

Steps

  1. 1

    Soak red chillies for at least half hour. Grind them to make paste with little water.

  2. 2

    Heat oil in a pan. Add ginger and garlic and cook them on low flame till there is no raw smell.

  3. 3

    Then add onions and cook them till it become translucent.

  4. 4

    Add red chilli paste, ketchup, vinegar, soy sauce, sugar and salt. Mix all and put 1/3 cup of water. Bring it to boil and simmer it on low flame till oil separates.

  5. 5

    Finally let it cool and store in a air tight container.
