Moong Daal Dosas or Yellow Lentil Dosas

A super yummy breakfast recipe made as a lovely variation to it's original counterpart. These crisp Dosas are made with Yellow Moong Lentils and Rice. These are made exactly the same way as that of the normal Dosa. To spice up the batter, you can add a few ingredients of your choice. Enjoy these beautiful looking Dosas for breakfast on any day alongside your favourite Chutney or Aaloo Masala. The soaking can be done overnight also if you have enough time on your hand. But if not, then soak them for 3 hours atleast for a lovely texture. I had served them with Pickle and Fresh Coconut Chutney. These can be a brunch or an after school snack too. Or can also be made for dinner as a surprise for the children.

Steps
- 1
Grind the dal and the rice using minimum water. It is better to soak them overnight. If not, then soak them for 3 hours.
- 2
Mix all the ingredients in the batter except the onions. Spread a ladleful of the batter in the centre on the griddle in a clockwise fashion just like you do for a normal dosa.
- 3
Pour a teaspoon of oil on the sides and let it cook for 2 minutes. As soon as it cooks on the lower side. Flip it over and let it cook for 1/2 a minute on the other side too. Add a tablespoon of chopped onions to the cooked dosa and serve.
- 4
Make all the dosas similarly and enjoy with any chutney of your choice.
