Ingredients

  1. 3/4 kgliver
  2. Large onion
  3. Garlic
  4. Green pepper
  5. 2large Tomatoes
  6. Oil to cook
  7. Hoho

Cooking Instructions

    Remove the membrane off the liver this helps flavour penetrate into the entire liver

    Chop your vegetables; hoho onion, pepper and tomatoes. Crush the garlic.

    Put the onions in the pot and add some oil, let the onion cook till it turns golden brown. Add the crushed garlic.

    Add the liver, add some salt and stir gently, then put a lid and let it boil a while. There will be some broth/soup so put some aside in a bowl for later.

    Put the chopped onion on top together with the hoho, let the sit on top of the liver, do not stir till the water the liver will produce dries.

    Add abit more oil and stir the pot. By this time the hoho and onions are steamed and soft so they easily fall apart and doesn't leave them uncooked.

    Add the chopped tomatoes and pepper, stir a little them cover to allow the tomatoes stew.

    After the tomatoes are cooked and stewed take the soup/broth you had taken out earlier and add in and let it boil to the desired amount of soup you may desire.

    Serve hot with rice/ugali/matoke/mashed potatoes.
