Being in a celebrations mood, I decided to give this a try. And I must say I nailed it #themechallange
Steps
- 1
Put warm water into the bowl, add sugar and yeast and stir
- 2
Add flour and mix to get a not so runny/hard kind of dough
- 3
Leave it for 30mins to rise
- 4
Heat oil in a medium heat and drop the mixture in. You can use a pipping bag but because I don't have one, I used a polythene paper-put the mixture inside and press with your hand into the oil. Fry them while turning to avoid burning
- 5
Let them cool
- 6
Put sugar water and vanilla into saucepan and heat while stirring to form a syrup
- 7
Take the kaimatis and coat with the syrup. Make sure they are well coated
