Dal and Roti was the simplest food for our country and still persists. Here I present chana dal masala and Sooji kheer with Roti as dinner.
The dal is prepared without onion and garlic.

Dal and Roti was the simplest food for our country and still persists. Here I present chana dal masala and Sooji kheer with Roti as dinner.
The dal is prepared without onion and garlic.
Steps

Pressure cook soaked chana dal and potato, with turmeric,salt and water.
- 2
Grind tomatoes, coconut, grate ginger, green chilli, cumin and coriander powder to a fine paste.
- 3
Light fry the ingredients of garam masala and grind to powder.
- 4
Heat ghee and oil. Add panch phutan and bay leaves. Let them splutter.
- 5
Add red chilli powder. Mix the masala paste and saute on low-medium flame, till oil separate.
- 6
Add and mix boiled dal, potato and fresh, garam masala powder prepared. Let it boil for 2 minutes.
Serve hot with roti/rice.
