Here I made fusion of both.
Green moong dal pakoras batter is spread on urad papad pieces,deep fry in oil. Made yummy chat by pouring dahi / curd, sweet and spicy chutneys, topped with pomegranate,sev& coriander leaves fried papad-moong dal chips .

Ingredients

  • 1 cupsoaked and de skined split green moong dal
  • 2green chillies
  • 1/2 inch ginger
  • 4-5pepper corns
  • 1/4 cupfresh coriander leaves
  • to tasteSalt
  • 1 pinchasafoetida/ hing
  • 4-5small size urad papad
  • As neededOil for frying
  • 1 cupWhisk fresh curd
  • 1/4 tsprock salt
  • 1/4 tspcumin Powder
  • 4 tspDates/ Khajur sweet chutney
  • 4 tspGreen coriander spicy chutney
  • handfulPomegranate pearls
  • 3 tspFinely chopped fresh coriander leaves
  • handfulsev

Steps

  1. 1

    In mixer jar add soaked & de skined split green moong dal, green chillies, ginger pieces, coriander leaves and peppercorns. Grind into little coarse mixture.(Without water).

    Transfer in mixing bowl add asafoetida and salt mix well.

    Cut urad papad in 4 pieces as shown. Heat oil in frying pan. In whisk fresh curd and black rock salt and cummin seeds powder, mix well and keep aside.

    Apply prepare moong-dal batter on each Papad piece as shown.

    Gently put in hot oil. Deep fry in hot oil on low- medium flame till crispy golden.(Prepare few at time as required..as it will become soggy as it gets cool).

    Arrange fried papad- moong dal chips in serving plate as shown. Sprinkle red dates khajur chutney and spicy green chutney on it as shown.

    Sprinkle whisk curd on it. Garnish with pomegranate pearls, chopped coriander leaves.

    Serve Relish Delicious Papad-Moong dal Chat, garnishing with besan sev.
