Traditionally it's done in the sun and takes few days to make it. The sugar or jaggery melts naturally in the sun. There is no oil and has only 5 ingredients to make. Today I will show you how to make it in microwave.

Add all the ingredients in a microwave safe bowl. Mix well. Microwave on high for 5 minutes. Remove and give it a stir. Microwave again for 2 minutes. Remove and let it cool. Enjoy with puri, thepla, paratha etc. Store it in an air tight jar.

I have not used any oil but if you like you can temper the katki keri with oil, cloves and cumin seeds.
