Mix the maida with buttermilk and make a thick batter. Keep it overnight or for maximum of 4 hours. Adjust the quantity of buttermilk to get the desired thick consistency of batter.

Add the chopped onions, cumin seeds, carom seeds, green chillies, salt, baking soda to the batter and start making the bhajjis. Heat oil in a kadai and put the batter. Deep fry till they turn fluffy and crispy.
