Ingredients

1/2 hour
2 people
  • 1 cupdry roasted broken wheat (daliya)
  • 1.5-2 cupFresh veggies chopped evenly (fresh peas, boiled sweet corns, capsicum, grated cabbage, green beans, ginger 1 inch, tomato) you can add garlic and onion too. I skipped both here
  • 1/2 cupfinely chopped fresh bottle guard
  • as per tasteSalt
  • 2 tspGhee
  • 1/2 tspAsafoetida
  • 1 tsp,Cumin seeds , mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tspTurmeric, red chilli powder each
  • 1 tspcoriander powder
  • 1/2 tspGaram masala
  • 1 tspChaat masala
  • 2-4Chopped green chillies
  • 5-6Curry patta
  • as neededGreen coriander if available
  • 2dry red chillies for tadka
  • As requiredWater

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat ghee in a pan, add asafoetida, cumin seeds, mustard seeds and then add veggies less tomatoes.

  2. 2

    Sauté for 4-5 minutes and then add tomatoes. Let it get along for a couple of minutes and then add all other spices, chopped chillies and daliya. Sauté again for a few minutes.

  3. 3

    Add water as required and salt as per taste. Close the lid and let it steam for 15-20 minutes. Or cook it in the cooker for 2-3 whistles.

  4. 4

    Let the steam get over and serve piping hot with simple ghee or red chilli wala Tadka.

  5. 5

    Loved by all, this one pot meal is a super hit and super protein rich meal. Enjoy as a lunch or dinner..
