2 servings
  • 1.1 lbsbeef (500 g)
  • 2egg yolks
  • 10small pickles (cornichons)
  • 1large shallot
  • 1 tablespooncapers
  • 1 tablespoonketchup
  • 1 tablespoonmayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoonmustard
  • 1 tablespoonpickle juice
  • Salt and pepper

Steps

  1. 1

    Chop the beef to your preferred texture, either coarse or fine. Add the sauces, salt, and pepper.

  2. 2

    Chop the pickles, shallot, and capers.

  3. 3

    For a classic tartare, mix everything together. If you prefer, keep the ingredients separate as shown in the photo and mix them yourself. Enjoy!
