Ring capsicum idli with split black urad dal a healthy form

Split black urad is actually the urad dal with it's outer skin (cover), which is rich in nutrients,as well a good source of fiber..Taste wise comparing the white and black urad has actually not much of a difference...only looks wise it is bit dark in colour..but believe me when I told my 9 year kid about it's health benifits,she happily had idli and actually loved it..

Grind rice and dal(previously soaked) separately..and then mix it well with beater...keep it in closed lid to ferment for at least 5-6 hours.

Add salt as per taste

Grease idli stand with oil and then add batter..and garnish with capsicum,almond and chilli powder(optional)

Alow to steam for 10-15 min in idli cooker/stand

Now you can enjoy these healthy and yummy idli with sambhar and chutney
