Raw bananas are majorly used for curries ,koftas, kebabs and chips. Use of raw bananas is more in Jain community as they don't use roots. The best replacement for potatoes are raw bananas for them.

Steps

Peel and chop bananas in cubes and cook them in boiling water by adding salt and little turmeric. Drain them and keep aside.

Heat oil and add cumin seeds, once they splutter add asafoetida and banana cubes. Add all powdered spices and salt if needed.

Add one cup of water and bring it to boil, after one boil, turn the flame to slow. Let it cook about 5-7 minutes.

Finally add jaggery and lemon juice and cook more 2-4 minutes. Turn off the heat.

Serve hot with roti or chapati. Can add Garam masala,if you like.
