Preheat oven to 200 degrees. Cream butter until smooth add sugar and beat until smooth. Beat in egg and vanilla.
Add baking soda and the flour into wet mixture.Fold in chocolate chips and cranberries.

Drop 1 or 2 tblsp dough per cookie onto ungreased baking sheets space dough at least 2 inches apart to allow for spreading. Bake until golden, 8 to 9 minutes. Remove cookies from baking sheets, and allow to cool on baking racks.
