Steps

First of all grease the brinjals and roast them on gas stove by standing them vertically and horizontally from all sides.

Roasting will take about 4 minutes.Now take a bowl of water and keep the roasted brinjal in it as it is easy to clean it and peel it easily with the help of hands.

Now in a plate with the help of knife check the brinjals by opening them in a layer as it should be insect free.

Now heat a tbsp of oil in kadai or pan crackle jeera seeds, pinch of asieftida and then add chopped onion saute it for 3 minutes and till the golden appearance.Now add chopped tomatoes, now add salt,dry spices and cook them till oil seperates.

Now add roasted brinjal stir and cook for 5 minutes.Now cover and cook for further 5 minutes. Now bharta is ready serve it hot with chappati and curd.
