Sooji or semolina (rava)is a delicious variant from the regular upma or other rava breakfast recipes. As the name suggests, these are bite sized ball shaped sooji dumplings which are steamed and tempered to make it more flavourful and appealing. Sooji balls have flavoring ingredients like coconut, curry and coriander leaves, and tempered with mustard, cumin, urad dal, hing, grated ginger, finely chopped onion and green chilli.Fried cashewnuts are added for some crunch. These masala tossed semolina balls are very easy to make and can be served as a healthy breakfast or tea time or tiffin snack. It can also be served as a party appetizer .
