Ingredients

  1. Part 1: Pasta Prep
  2. 2 CupsPenne or Rotini Pasta
  3. 6 CupsWater
  4. 1 PinchSalt
  5. Part 2: The Sauce
  6. 8 OuncesVelveeta™ Cheese Block
  7. 2/3 CupColby & Monterey Jack Shredded Cheese Blend
  8. 1/2 CupWhole Milk
  9. 4 TablespoonsSalted Butter
  10. to TastePepper,
  11. Part 3: Before Baking
  12. Panko Bread Crumbs
  13. Cooking Spray

Cooking Instructions

45 Minutes
  1. 1

    PREHEAT Oven for 500°F

  2. 2

    ADD water and salt to saucepan; SET burner to HIGH.

  3. 3

    ADD pasta to saucepan when the water is boiling. COOK for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

    DRAIN pasta after cooking. SET burner to LOW.

  5. 5

    ADD milk and RETURN pasta to saucepan.

  6. 6

    ADD butter to saucepan; STIR until butter has melted.

  7. 7

    CUT Velveeta™ block into smaller cubes. ADD cubes to saucepan and STIR until melted.

  8. 8

    ADD shredded cheese blend to saucepan; STIR until melted.

  9. 9

    ADD pepper, if desired.

  10. 10

    GREASE a glass baking pan with cooking spray until thoroughly coated.

  11. 11

    DUMP macaroni and cheese into glass baking pan. SPREAD evenly across pan.

    POUR panko bread crumbs over macaroni and cheese until covered.

  13. 13

    BAKE at 500°F for 10 minutes.

  14. 14

    REMOVE from oven. COOL for 20 minutes.
