This recipe is especially for kids. Kids would definitely get attracted to it. Just try it and see how kids jump upon this attractive dish...
Steps
- 1
Firstly to activate the yeast, take a small bowl, add milk, sugar & yeast. Then mix it rigorously for few seconds then cover the bowl immediately. Keep it aside for 10 mins. After 10 mins. you will notice the bubble formation in the bowl and the mixture would swell up a bit. That means your yeast is well activated.
- 2
Next add all the dry ingredients. Give everything a good mix. Then add the yeast mixture into it and Knead it well to form a soft dough by gradually adding lukewarm milk little by little and oil at the same time. Knead the dough by stretching and folding method. Brush some oil over the dough, cover it and keep it in a warm place for at least 1 and half hours.
- 3
Note : If you are using instant yeast, add the same amount, directly with the dry ingredients & Knead the dough as mentioned in the previous step. Now after 1 and half hours, you will notice that the dough has doubled up in size. Punch it and remove the excess air from it then again Knead the dough for about a min or 2 to form a smooth dough.
- 4
Now with the help of rolling pin, roll the dough into a big circle keeping half inch thickness as shown in the image below.
- 5
Then place any round cutter over it and press down gently. Make small circles over the dough as shown in the image below. Then keep another small circle in the centre to give them a perfect shape of a donut. But if you're having a donut cutter, then use it either.
- 6
Remove the circles and place them over a plate. Brush some milk over it then cover the plate with a damp cloth for about 10 to 15 mins., before frying them. It will slightly puff up in size then...
- 7
After 10 mins. take a kadai, heat some oil for deep frying the donuts. When the oil gets heated, lower the flame put 1 donut at a time. Fry them well on a low flame until they turns golden brown from both the sides. Then remove them and keep them aside.
- 8
Now for chocolate glazing I have microwaved both the compound chocolates separately in different bowls for 30 secs. Then I have just dipped the donuts into it from one side and then decorated them with the help of toothpick to give it a design of spider-web. You can decorate it as per your wish and taste. Your spider-web glazed donuts are now ready to be served.
