Okonomomiyaki is one famous Japanese street food, originally from Osaka. People are also called it as Japanese Cabbage Pancake. This meal is very easy to make. What you need is to prepare the ingredients, mix them all into batter and poured onto nonstick pan frying or griddle to cook. Easy isn’t it? Let’s go to the recipe and see how to make it.

Steps

20 minutes
  1. 1

Using a large bowl, put all the ingredients and mix well.

  2. 2

Heat a nonstick pan frying over medium heat. Add 1 tbsp oil. When the oil hot enough or shimmers, drop one ladle of batter into the pan, press with the spatula, shaping into a large, thick (1/2 inch) pancake.

  3. 3

Cook over medium-low heat until the pancake is browned and set on one side. Flip it over and cook on the other side. Transfer to the serving plate. Repeat with the remaining batter.

  4. 4

Sizzling with Worcestershire sauce, mayonnaise, and sriracha or ketchup. Sprinkle with chopped green onion and Japanese noodle snack.

  5. 5

Served hot right off the pan. Enjoy!

  6. 6

Note: For this recipe you can also add chopped shrimp or bacon.
