Ingredients

  • 1 tbspgrated fresh haldi (turmeric)
  • 1 tbspgrated ginger
  • 8-10 leavestulsi (holy basil)
  • 1 tspajwain (carom seeds)
  • 2 cupswater
  • 2 tsplemon juice (optional)
  • 1 tsphoney (optional)

Steps

  1. 1

    To begin, boil two cups of water. Add in the fresh haldi, ginger, tulsi leaves, and ajwain and bring to a boil.

  2. 2

    If raw haldi is not available, you can use 1 tsp haldi powder instead.

  3. 3

    Let it boil for at least 2-3 minutes.

  4. 4

    Strain and pour it into cups. Add the lemon juice if you prefer a tangy tea. Or honey if you prefer a sweet one.
