Wash and chop spinach leaves, wash tuvar dal too.

In a pressure cooker put dal, palak leaves, 1/2 cup water, turmeric powder, salt, and 2 drops of oil.

Cook for 3 whistles and then switch off the flame.

Heat oil in a wok and put crushed garlic.

Add chopped onions and tomatoes.

Sauté till tomatoes turns soft and add cooked dal palak.

Add chilli powder and garam masala, and cook on high flame till it becomes semi dry.

Then put cumin and dry red chilli tadka in dal.

Garnish with butter and serve with paratha.
