Since I'd never made nigiri sushi at home, I wanted to give it a try. The dining table looked festive with these nigiri sushi .

Ingredients

  1. 1 sliceSashimi grade maguro (lean tuna)
  2. 1Sushi Rice
  3. *The marinating sauce:
  4. 2 tbspeach *Soy sauce and sake
  5. 1 tbsp*Mirin
  6. 1*Green onions
  7. 1Wasabi

Cooking Instructions

    Combine the soy sauce, sake, mirin, and green onions to make the marinating sauce. Slice the tuna into adequate sizes for a nigiri sushi. Marinate the sliced tuna in the sauce for about 30 minutes in the fridge.

    Take sushi rice and gently squeeze into round shapes. Top with wasabi, and then place the marinated tuna on top. Done!
