Simple and Easy Drained Tofu

cookpad.japan
cookpad.japan @cookpad_jp

When I was busy, I stumbled on this easy and useful way of preparing tofu.
After you do it once, you'll be addicted!

If the tofu stops draining halfway through, you can put water back in it through the holes you cut and use it in a different dish.
I've never tried this with processed tofu, so I don't know how to drain it. Recipe by Pecchin

Steps

  1. 1

Make two approximately 2 cm cuts on the plastic packaging with a knife (the space where the tofu barely touches the edges of the package).

  2. 2

Drain the water by standing the package next to your sink. Because the side of the tofu package is corrugated, the water pours out easily.

  3. 3

I leave it for about 30 minutes like this even in the summertime.

  4. 4

I also tried putting the tofu in a bowl and then placing it in the fridge to drain.
