Chocolate Pie Bites made with Frozen Puff Pastry

I had lots of left over puff pastry and wanted to imitate my favorite snack.
The chocolate is so thick and yummy when just baked. They also make fantastic gifts!
When sticking the 2 puff pastry pieces together it helps if you wet the edges, like you would when you make gyoza dumplings.
For anyone who wants to make them look even better, try sprinkling sugar over the egg glaze.

Cooking Instructions
- 1
I made the pies with just these ingredients, my family likes Ghana chocolate best so we used that.
- 2
Defrost a pie sheet and cut it into either 24 or 32 pieces. I've cut it into 32 here.
- 3
Cut the chocolate up by cutting each block in half.
- 4
Pre-heat the oven to 190-200°C.
- 5
Put a piece of chocolate on half of the cut puff pastry pieces and cover with another square of pastry. If the pastry is too small and the chocolate is poking out just stretch the pastry out a bit with your fingers.
- 6
Attach the 2 pieces of pastry together by pushing firmly on the edges with a fork, as the photo shows.
- 7
Line a baking tray with baking paper and glaze the pies with a beaten egg. Transfer to the oven and bake for 13 - 15 minutes.
- 8
I thought I had baked them all rather nicely, but there were a few that had come apart and were showing the chocolate.
- 9
However if you just push down on the edges gently whilst they're still hot you can fix them to some degree, they will look like this.
- 10
Make lots of pie pieces!

Easy Apple Pie with Frozen Puff Pastry Easy Apple Pie with Frozen Puff Pastry
You may have seen a recipe like this a long time ago, but this is the apple pie my mother used to make when I was a child. Now it's what I like to make for my own family.Basically, it's foolproof, since you use frozen puff pastry. If I were to suggest anything, it would be to make sure the apple filling isn't watery, and not to put too much in or it will leak out. If it leaks out, it will burn and the pastry won't puff. Super Easy Imitation Chocolate Pie Bites with Pastry Sheets Super Easy Imitation Chocolate Pie Bites with Pastry Sheets
My kids told me that chocolate chip pies don't have enough chocolate, so I made these very easy pies with a lot of chocolate and look like those famous pie bites. When you bake them until well browned, even if they are cooled, they are still crispy.I tried with bite-sized chocolates and chocolate bars, but bite-sized chocolates made the result look cuter, even though they were a bit harder to shape. When you are using chocolate bars, I recommend Ghana chocolate. Recipe by Baketto cookpad.japan -
