Handmade Chocolate Truffles

I wanted to try making chocolate truffles that melts in your mouth.
Chocolate doesn't do well with water, so please be careful.
If you have chocolate left over that hasn't melted in Step 5, prepare hot water at around 60 ℃, and melt the chocolate over it.
To warm the knife, pour hot water over it and wipe dry before use. (Be careful not to burn yourself.) Recipe by cocoko

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the ingredients. Mince the chocolate so that it melts easily.
- 2
Put the heavy cream in a pot and heat. Stop the heat just before it comes to a boil.
- 3
Add the butter and melt.
- 4
Heat on low again, and before it comes to a boil, remove from the heat and cool.
- 5
Add the chocolate and melt. Once the chocolate has melted, add the Grand Marnier (you could use rum or your favorite type of liquor).
- 6
Pour it into a pan lined with parchment paper, and refrigerate for 30 to 60 minutes to harden.
- 7
Cut into your desired shapes with a warm knife, and coat with cocoa powder.
- 8
This is Grand Marnier. It's an orange liquor. If you don't have it, you could use rum or other kinds of liquor for delicious truffles.

Earlier today, I was craving for some chocolate truffles. 🤔So I thought to myself, “why go all the way to a chocolate store to buy some when you can make some!” 🤷🏻♀️😅😂Here are a few pieces of my first-hand experience of making my very own #homemade #chocolate #truffles before they vanished. 🍫🤎Surprisingly #chewy and #yummy 😍😍😍Will definitely make some variations of these babies - probably with nuts, coconut bits, and assortments. 🧆🍫🧉🥜📝FUN FACT: It is said that the chocolate truffle was made by accident!Back in the 1920s, French culinary giant August Escoffier’s stagiaire attempted to make pastry cream when he accidentally poured hot cream into a bowl of chocolate chunks instead of the bowl of sugared egg he initially was aiming for.So as the chocolate cream mixture hardened, he found he could work the chocolate paste by hand to form into balls. After rolling the balls onto cocoa powder, he was amazed by the resemblance they had to the luxurious truffles from the French Périgord region and the Piedmont of Italy; its name was derived from the edible fungus such as black truffles.🤎🤎🤎#chocolatetruffles #nomnom #delicious #masarap #lami #namit #querico #sabroso #delicioso #lækker #utsökt #delicieux #טָעִים #chocolateballs #cravingsatisfied #lizziefied #happytuesday #dessert LizzieVO -

I've been making these truffles ever since I was single and gave them a go with store-bought chocolate bars this time. Since these truffles aren't too sweet, my family really loves them.I used 2 bars of dark chocolate from Lawson for this recipe which weighed 75 g each.If you are using milk chocolate instead, please reduce the amount of cream to 75 ml.You don't have to add any mizuame if you don't have any.If you want to make more authentic truffles, give them a light coating of chocolate and freeze them before applying a thick layer of coating at the end.
