Every season in India is celebrated in a very unique way,so is this season of January .Its makarsankranti with the khushboo of melted gur and coziness of til .

Roast the til till it is nicely cooked. And keep it aside.

Now take jaggery in a wok and melt it. Add sugar and a pinch of soda and stir it till it turns dark reddish.

Now add til to the chashni made. Grease the wooden base.

Now transfer the mixture to the greased wooden base and roll it into a thin sheet with a rolling pin to make a chikki.

Now let it cool down. Remove the chikki from the wooden base and break into any shape and serve it.
