Chana dal vegetable curry

Soak and boil chana dall with salt in a pressure cooker for 2 whistles.

Finely chop Onion and tomato. Cut carrot beans and potato to medium size. Slit green chillies.

Pour oil in a pan put cinnamon sticks cloves and fennel seeds. Then add onion and fry to golden brown.

Add tomato and fry till it's soft. Add green chilies,red chili powder, turmeric powder and other vegetables. fry for a minute.

Add salt and water if required. Transfer this to the pressure cooker and cook together for one more whistle.

Turn off the flame and let the steam settles down.

Then mash the dal and vegetables with a wooden spoon for a minute. Garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves and curry leaves.
