There are certain traditions we inherit by birth and we all grow up by celebrating them because they are the part of what we are, who we are and from where we are. Sheer khurma is One of the most favourite and popular dish of Pakistan being cooked and served in almost every other home on Eid. It literally means milk.

1/2 cupvermicelli(sawaiyan)

100 gramkhoya
3/4 cupsugar or to taste
Few drops Kewra water

Few cashews (Roasted)
Few kishmish (Roasted)

30-40 minutes

In a pan heat ghee and fry vermicelli for few minutes until its colour changes a little.

When colour changes set aside and in the same pan roast cashews and kishmish. Set aside all these things.

Now in a pan add milk,sugar and hari elaichi seeds and bring it to boil. Cook it until milk is 1/4 reduced. Keep stirring in between.

Now add khoya and cook for few minutes until it melts. Now add fried vermicelli and cook for 1-2 minutes.

Now fried nuts and let it simmer for 5- 10 minutes on low flame. Now add kewra water and mix well. Sheer khurma is ready.
