I have tried a few sauces that were okay, but this sauce, inspired by the Kitchen, is my favorite. It is very simple to make, but has such spectacular flavor.Depending upon your desired consistency, add more or less water. For our dish, a half cup was perfect. If you want to use as a salad dressing, use more water. We used ours over noodles/spaghetti, with some chicken. Wow!You will be surprised at how good this sauce is. Just a few simple ingredients.Enjoy!

This dish is an adaptation based on a New York Times’ recipe by Melissa Clark. Instead of the shrimp that is featured in the original, I made it with extra-firm tofu for a friend who is vegetarian.
