Firstly soak the rice for about 15 mins. Drain the excess water, let it dry out for some time. Then grind it coarsely in a mixture grinder. Keep this aside.

Now for preparing caramel, in a pan add sugar + 5 tbsp of water. Let it boil for something on a low flame until it turns golden in color. When it starts turning brown, switch off the flame and add 4 tbsp of water to it. Mix it well and keep this caramel mixture aside.

Now in a tadka pan add a tsp of ghee and fry the dry fruits. Keep this aside.

Now boil the milk in a pan. Let it simmer for about 5 mins. Then add the grounded rice into it. Mix it well.

Cook it until the rice it done. Now add the dry-fruits & caramel mixture into it. Add few drops of rose essence in it. Give it a good mix.

Finally, add some cardamom powder and mix it. Let it cool down. Refrigerate it for one hour and then serve it.
