Steps

Put the potatoes in a pot and cover them with tap water. Put on the stove and cook until they are tender. Strain and set aside for 3 minutes. In the meantime get the peas going.

Put a pot of water on the stove and bring to a rolling boil. Add the peas and boil for 3 minutes. Strain and mash.

To the potatoes, add butter, milk, salt, and pepper.

Mash until creamy and smooth. Mix in the peas.
