Manhattan cocktail

One of the classic classic, if you see what I mean. One of the oldest known named cocktails, a gentler alternative to the dry martini for the whisky lover. I prefer mine with Canadian whisky, what would've been imported during prohibition, and Noilly Prat (if nothing else because I have some connection to Marseillan, home of NP) red vermouth, but Martini Rosso is perfectly fine as well.

Steps

  1. 1

Stir with ice. It is important to stir long enough for the drink to get ice cold and just the right amount of ice to melt. If it's still too boozy for your taste, add a dash of water. Serve up in a cocktail glass. Garnish with two maraschino cherries.
