Super Calcium-Fortified Toast for Breakfast

Sometimes life can get stressful, but you can help the situation out by making sure you're taking in enough calcium! Just as I was baking bread with skimmed milk from "Lincii san"'s recipe, the idea of fortifying my breakfast toast with extra calcium came to me.

Letting the cheese melt helps keep the chirimen jako (semi-dried salted tiny sardines) on the toast. In the photos shown above, I used half sliced cheese and half cheddar cheese. Recipe by Annchann

Ingredients

  1. 1 sliceBread
  2. 1to 2 tablespoons Chirimen jako (semi-dried salted tiny sardines)
  3. 1Sliced cheese
  4. 1Aonori

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Add the cheese, then more chirimen jako on top.

  2. 2

    Add the cheese, then more chirimen jako (semi-dried salted tiny sardines) on top.

  3. 3

    Sprinkle with aonori (dried green nori flakes), and grill in a toaster oven.

  4. 4

    It's all done!

    As an appetizer for beer, I used thinly sliced bread to make it crispy.
