These nutritious Moong beans are a breeze to Sprout at home. Not only do they taste great but Sprouting at home is very economical too. And it's all the more healthy too. You get to eat fresh homemade Sprouts as well. Just like Black Chickpea Sprouts, even these are absolutely easy. Following a few handy tips will give you a lovely bowl of lusciuos and beautiful Sprouts. You can put them to use in so many ways. The options are endless. Simple stir fry to Curries to Chaats to eating them raw with boiling them a bit, there are umpteen dishes that can be made. I have shared quite a few of them here on my profile. Not only that, they can be deep fried too for a more crunchier Snack.

Steps

36 hours
  1. 1

Wash them thoroughly with water. Allow to drain well. Now soak them overnight in clean drinking water.

  2. 2

Next morning, drain and rinse them with clean drinking water. Keep them aside to let all the water drip completely. Now add them to a wet Cotton or a Muslin cloth. Fold it up nicely and keep it in a colander in a clean and a dark place.

  3. 3

See to it that the cloth is wet. It should not dry up. If it dries, sprinkle more of it on the Moong beans. Keep it undisturbed for almost 2-3 days. After 24-30 hours, you can already see small Sprouts visible on the cloth.

  4. 4

Store them in airtight containers in the Crisper section of the refrigerator and use as required for almost 2-3 days. Or use them right away. Enjoy!

Homemaker by choice and a passionate cook by heart. An aspiring cook who actually never knew anything about Cooking until i became a mother myself. With Motherhood came the responsibilities as well and this was the turning point in my life.I started to learn the ABC's of cooking, taking help from my mother and my MIL. And time just flew. I spread my wings higher and higher. With my love for excellence and innovation, i stepped into a world of homecooks with my exposure to Cookpad one fine day on the social media. And there was no looking back since then and i have not only shared recipes here on this wonderful platform but also have made some lovely friends as well. Today iam successful because of my hard work, dedication and loads of good wishes of my family and my kids in particular.
