Ingredients

  1. FORSuji Balls
  2. 1 cupsemolina
  3. 3 tspoil
  4. 1chilli finely chopped
  5. As requiredGinger finely chopped
  6. 2.5 cupswater
  7. 1/2 tspsalt
  8. 1/4 th cup grated coconut
  9. Fortempering
  10. 3 tspoil
  11. 1 tspmustard
  12. 1/2 tspcumin seeds
  13. 1/2 tspurad dal
  14. 1/2 tspchana dal
  15. 5cashews halved
  16. Fewcurry leaves
  17. 1dried red chilli
  18. 1/4 th tsp turmeric
  19. 1/4 th tsp red Chilli powder
  20. 1/4 th tspsalt
  21. 2 tbspfinely chopped coriander
  22. 2 tsplemon juice

Steps

30 minutes
  1. 1

    Firstly, in a large Kadai heat 3 tsp oil and saute 1 chili and ginger.
    Then pour 2.5 cups of water. Also, add salt and coconut, mix well.

    Get the water to a rapid boil. keeping the flame on low start adding roasted semolina slowly, stirring continuously.

  3. 3

    Cover and cook until the semolina turns soft and fluffy.

  4. 4

    Then knead the dough for 5 mins and prepare small balls. Steam them for 10 minutes.

  5. 5

    After this, take a kadhai and heat 3 tsp oil, and add all the tempering ingredients. Now add turmeric, chili powder, and salt.

  6. 6

    Then add steamed semolina balls and mix gently.

  7. 7

    Finally, add coriander and lemon juice. Mix well.

  8. 8

    Serve with spicy chutney. Enjoy!
