Quick and easy biscuit recipe and great with soups. This recipe makes about 24 average sized biscuits.

Ingredients

  1. 4 cupsAP Flour
  2. 8 tspbaking powder
  3. 1 tspsalt
  4. 1 1/2 cupstick butter-cold and cut into cubes
  5. 4-5 tablespoonsminced chives
  6. 2 1/2 cupsshredded sharp cheddar cheese
  7. 1 1/2 cupsbuttermilk

Cooking Instructions

    Heat oven to 450 degrees

    Stir flour, baking powder and salt together.

  3. 3

    Cut in cubed butter using a pastry blender or you can use a knife a fork to cut the butter in.

    Stir in the chives and cheese.

  5. 5

    Make a well in the flour mixture and pour the buttermilk into the hole of well.

  6. 6

    Using a fork, toss the flour into the buttermilk, scraping the sides of the mixing bowl. Continue doing until all of the buttermilk has been mixed with the flour.

    I used my hands on this part and poured the dough onto my countertop: mix ingredients until all ingredients are incorporated and the dough is fully formed.

    Slightly grease baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray.

    Drop biscuits onto cooking sheet.

  10. 10

    Bake until Biscuits turn slightly brown on top. 13-15 minutes
