Sauteed Chicken Thigh with Butter and Soy Sauce

I usually cook chicken thighs with bones for Christmas, changing the seasonings every time. This butter and soy sauce seasoning is very popular so I make chicken dishes with it for our usual dinner as well. I usually use boneless chicken thighs when they are on sale.
During Step 4 and 6, cover the frying pan with a lid to cook through the chicken. Adding sliced onion rings when you cook the chicken would be nice too. Recipe by Ri-karu

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Trim the excess fat off the chicken. Make slits in the thick parts so that it cooks through more easily. Use your kitchen scissors for doing this.
- 2
Salt and pepper Step 1.
- 3
Heat some oil in a frying pan and add the garlic.
- 4
When the garlic sizzles, place the chicken pieces with the skin sides down. Put the garlic on top of each piece of chicken and Cover with a lid.
- 5
Combine the ingredients marked with ★ while cooking the chicken. If the butter is not soft enough, move the butter around at step 7 to melt it.
- 6
After the skin sides have browned, turn over the chicken. Clean the excess fat from the frying pan with paper towel and then Cover the frying pan again.
- 7
Add the ★ into 6 and cook for a few more minutes. Flip over the chicken and put with the skin sides down again to allow the chicken pieces to absorb the ★, then turn over the chicken again. Turn the heat off.
- 8
If you are worried that the chicken is not cooked through, leave the lid on and steam the chicken with the residual heat for a while.
- 9
Transfer the chicken onto a serving dish. Garnish with some vegetables. Pour the remaining sauce from the frying pan over the chicken. Put the garlic on top of the chicken. This is tasty but optional.

I love vinegar, so I would make a perfect vinegar taste tester.Out of all the recipes I cook, this is far best my favorite. Some years ago I made this recipe in an attempt to recreate a dish I had in a restaurant, and have been making it ever since. As the soy sauce is supposed to provide most of the flavor, only add a little bit of salt to season. After cooking, taste and add more if needed. My son pours the sauce over rice to eat it up.If you make too much sauce, put shredded lettuce, or any of your favorite veggies on top of a bowl of rice and add the meat! It's also really good if used in a chicken rice bowl. Recipe by +pocopoco+ cookpad.japan -
