Crispy biscuit vada or meduvada is a much loved snack item. It is relished with chutney or sambaar or both. Here I bring to you a easy recipe you can make and serve it as a snack or breakfast.

Wash and soak the urad dal in water for 4 to 5 hours.

Then to this soaked udad dal add salt, ginger shavings, finely cut green chillies, rice powder and blend it. See to it that the batter is of a semi thick pourable consistency.

Then take a kadai and pour coconut oil or refined oil and heat it to a high temperature.

Make small roundels of the blended mix using all your five fingers and drop small balls in the kadai and deep fry. The fried vadas will look like in the picture shown below.

Serve with chutney or sambaar.
