Easy Simmered Yellowtail

I prefer simmered fish to teriyaki.
It's best to pour hot water on the fish, so do not skip this step. If you're feeling iffy about the odor of the fish, give this a try! Recipe by Kiki mama

Steps
- 1
Pour hot water over the fish or dip the fish in a pot of boiling water.
- 2
If the fish turns white, it's ready.
- 3
Pour all the ingredients and water into a pot and turn on the heat.
- 4
When it comes to a boil, add the fish and cover with a drop lid (otoshibuta). Simmer in medium heat until the sauce reduces by 1/2 to 1/3.
- 5
Remove the lid and pour the sauce over the fish with a ladle. Simmer in low heat for 1 to 2 minutes.
- 6
When the fish turns shiny, it's done.
