I love to serve it with steamed RICE,aam ka Achar,raita, especially vindi RAITA n Mango ... unforgettable experience...of any foodie...Dal palak is North India Dal,I tasted it several times with different Dal like arhar,or CHANA...all taste good,flavors also differ, especially with Rajasthani ...but You.P gives much of traditional village toss,but if served anywhere in India at some event it's buttery flavor stills the show...

First boil the Dal with salt n haldi,with chopped palak set aside

Heat kadai add butter, bay leaf,onion sliced,along with ginger garlic paste...stir till raw smell goes away....add kasuri methi powder,dhania n garam masala,add tomato chopped,Mirchi powder...allow till oil oozes out...add Dal...then prepare chaunk...with sukhi Mirchi,onion,jeera,Mirchi powder...put Dal into it...add chopped coriander n butter...
