Stir-fried Brussels Sprouts and Prawns with Garlic

I bought a lot of Brussels sprouts, so I tried stir-frying them with various ingredients. While garlic certainly goes well with Brussels sprouts, I discovered that seafood goes better with Brussels sprouts than meat.
This stir-fry is cooked quickly over high heat, so it's perfect for when you're in a hurry.

Cook quickly over high heat.
Do not overcook.
If fresh prawns are not available, use frozen ones or a frozen seafood mix.
Adjust the amount of pepper to suit your taste (I like it with plenty of pepper). Recipe by Nakaduka Kyoko

Ingredients

4 servings
  • 20Brussels sprouts
  • 100 gramsPrawns (frozen is fine)
  • 1 cloveGarlic (finely chopped)
  • 1 tbspVegetable oil (for frying)
  • 1 pinchSalt
  • 1 dashPepper
  • 1 tspOyster sauce
  • 1 dashSake (for seasoning)

Steps

  1. 1

    Rinse the Brussels sprouts and cut them in half. Remove veins form the prawns and rinse with sake. Cut into bite-sized pieces.

    Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan and stir-fry the garlic and prawns over high heat.

    Add the Brussels sprouts and fry quickly over high heat. Season with salt, pepper, and oyster sauce.
