Ingredients

  1. 2 cupslentils
  2. 1,25 cupsrice
  3. 1,5big onion (6 small onions)
  4. Salut &pepper
  5. Pinchcumin
  6. 5 tbspVegetable oil

    Wash lentils in sink and add water to boil 5 min

  2. 2

    Try and taste lentil, no cover, then throw water completely

  3. 3

    Hot water boiled (3 cups of water), boil again so it gets more soft

  4. 4

    At the same time, cut onions in slices (tranches), and cut them back in half

  5. 5

    Put vegetable oil, becomes hot and add pepper in oil, put in onion to fry, high head, until brownish and even black, for taste and color

    Remove a bit of onion to eat on the side. The rest, put in lentil (keep lentil water with it).

    Wash rice and add it in lentil mix. Remove water from lentil, because we are going to use lentil water as water for rice, and compensate the rest with normal water.

    Eau bouilli des lentilles = 2 tasses et demi d’eau pour faire cuire le riz. Cuire le riz comme d’habitude.

    Ajouter sel poivre au goût, et ajouter un peu de cumin, saupoudrer
