#boxweek17 #bhindi #mysterybox #cookpadindia
For Mutton and Bhindi lover!
Few years ago I had come across this in the menu of Pakistani restaurant here. Tried it and it was delicious. So came and tried at home and from that time onwards I started cooking this.
Once in a while I love to have this for variation as you can enjoy the bhindi and mutton at the same time and it's yummy too

For Mutton and Bhindi lover!
Few years ago I had come across this in the menu of Pakistani restaurant here. Tried it and it was delicious. So came and tried at home and from that time onwards I started cooking this.
Once in a while I love to have this for variation as you can enjoy the bhindi and mutton at the same time and it's yummy too
Steps
- 1
Heat oil in a pot. Add the ginger garlic paste and saute then add the mutton and braise it for about 5 minutes. Then add the boiled onion paste and saute it / bhunno it for about 5-10 minutes, add little water as needed so that the ginger, garlic & onion doesn't burn along with Mutton. Use the onion boiled water too.
- 2
Then add all powdered spices/ masala except the Garam masala powder along with the salt and bhunno it for 5 minutes, add little water as needed so that the masalas doesn't burn. Then add about 700 ml hot water and let it cook. Add water as needed in between the cooking process. Add the fried onion too. In total you will need about 2 litres (+/-) water.
- 3
After 20-30 minutes add tomato puree and cilantro and cook further till the mutton gets cooked.
- 4
Now heat about a tablespoon of oil in a kadai or pan add the bhindi and immediately add the lemon juice (so that it doesn't become slimy) and salt and saute for 5 minutes. The bhindi will change color, add it to the mutton curry, add in the chillies and the Garam Masala powder and mix and cook for another 10 minutes or so. Check salt. Adjust the gravy / Salan consistency as you desire. Once done serve hot with Roti, Parathas etc.
