Ingredients

  1. 1/2 cupGreen gram
  2. As requiredWater
  3. 1/2 tspTurmeric powder
  4. 1/2 tspSalt
  5. 1 tbspGhee
  6. 2 tspOil
  7. 1 tspCumin seeds
  8. 1/4 tspAsafoetida powder
  9. 2 Onions
  10. 3Green chilli chopped
  11. 1 tspGinger garlic paste
  12. 3oes
  13. 2 tspRed chilli powder
  14. 1 tspCoriander powder
  15. 1 tspSalt
  16. 1/2 tspGaram masala
  17. As requiredCoriander leaves
  18. as requiredCurry leaves

Cooking Instructions

    Soak the green gram overnight in water put the soaked green grams in a pressure cooker, add water turmeric powder, and salt

    Cook till 2 whistles on medium flame.

    To a pan, add ghee and oil. To this add cumin, asafoetida powder, and satu.

    Add onion green chili and curry leaves fry till the onion turns golden in color.

    Add the ginger-garlic paste, and stir and then add the tomatoes and cook until they are mushy.

    For seasoning, add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, salt.mix well and cook for 3-4 minutes.

    Transfer the cooked green gram to the pan and add water. Mix well and add garam masala powder.

    Mix everything and let it cook for about 5 minutes.

    Finally, add the coriander leaves.

    Serve the healthy and tasty green grams curry hot with a dollop of ghee on the top.

    Serve with jeera rice 😋 roti, phulka and chapathi. 😋😋😋😋
