Cream the sugar and butter for around 3 minutes. Add in the eggs, 1 at a time while beating after adding each egg

Add in the spicing, essense, milk salt and the rind. Also sift in the flour and baking powder. Fold it in with spatula or wooden spoon.

In a greased and dusted pan, pour in the cake batter and even out the top. Bake the cake at 200 degrees Celsius for about 45 minutes (remember, baking temperature may vary depending on the size of the baking tin used)

Remove it from the oven once it's done.. Let it sit for about 15 minutes before turning/ transfering it to a storage tray/ tin. Don't cover the tin until the cake if fully cooked. Enjoy!
