Cooking Instructions

You can tame the bitterness of the gourd, if you want, by doing this tip:
- 2
Heat oil in a pan and sauté the garlic and onions. Add the beef tapa and stir fry a bit.
- 3
Add the tomatoes. Add water to the sauce left in the beef packaging and pour in the pan. Cover to let the tomato juice come out.
- 4
Add the bitter melon / gourd, the remaining water and cover.
- 5
Add the tomato paste. Season with salt and pepper. When the sauce thickens you are ready to add the egg.
- 6
Pour in the beaten egg and stir fry with spatula to mix well. Your dish is ready when egg is cooked and the sauce absorbed. Enjoy!

Delicious! Goya Chanpuru (Bitter Melon Stir-Fry) Delicious! Goya Chanpuru (Bitter Melon Stir-Fry)
My parents harvested a lot of bitter melon, so I thought of recipes to use it. I compared the taste with store bought sauce, and now I don't need store bought sauce any more.To get rid of the bitterness, remove the white inner parts as much as possible. Slice the bitter gourd thinly, and rub with 1 tablespoon of salt (for a 20-30 cm long vegetable), and then soak it in water for about 10 minutes. Not all of the bitterness will be eliminated, but it will reduce to about the level where you just sense it as an aftertaste. In addition, freshly harvested bitter melon is less bitter. For 4 servings. Recipe by Himawarichan cookpad.japan -

Spicy Eggplant Mapo Tofu (un-stir fried Eggplant and Tofu) Spicy Eggplant Mapo Tofu (un-stir fried Eggplant and Tofu)
#veganfriendly#vegetarian# oil free# sugar freeMapo Tofu is one of the China’s famous dishes. And it's also one of our favorite Chinese food dishes. We can easily order it whenever we go to a Chinese restaurant. It's always good along with steamed white rice. The creamy sauce is so delicious mixed with soft tofu. The last time we ate tofu mapo was 3 weeks ago, when we visited Yellowstone National Park. The food is okay. Well, we can't compare because it is the only Chinese restaurant there. But we realized the dish was too oily and sweet. After all, now we are home. I can make it myself. And of course everything you cook yourself, you can control the amount of ingredients and seasonings. Especially salt, sugar and oil. And because we try to limit oil and sugar, in this recipe I don't use sugar and oil.And believe me, even without oil and sugar, it still tastes good 😋So, here's the recipe! Nia Hiura -
Stir Fry Goya (Bitter Melon) and Scallops in Mayonnaise Stir Fry Goya (Bitter Melon) and Scallops in Mayonnaise
My husband doesn't like the bitterness of the bitter melon, so I always prepare it properly. The mayonnaise gives a smooth taste. If you don't like the bitterness, be sure to remove the seeds and pith (the pith is where the bitterness comes from). The bitterness can be removed further by rubbing salt into your slices and then washing it off.
