Ingredients

2 servings
  1. 2bundles Somen noodles
  2. 1/2Bitter melon
  3. 1/2Carrot
  4. 150 gramsGround pork
  5. 1Sesame oil
  6. Seasoning ingredients:
  7. 1 tbspSake
  8. 2/3 tspSalt

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Cut the bitter melon in half lengthwise and take out the seeds and the fluffy bits inside. Slice into 5 mm wide pieces, and sprinkle with a little salt. Finely julienne the carrot.

  2. 2

Bring a pot of water to a boil and cook the somen noodles following package instructions. Rinse in plenty of running water to get rid of any stickiness on the surface, and drain well.

  3. 3

Heat some sesame oil in a frying pan and stir fry the ground pork.

  4. 4

Add the vegetables to the frying pan and stir fry.

  5. 5

Add the somen noodles to the pan and stir fry for about 20 seconds while untangling the noodles. When the noodles are coated with oil, add the flavoring ingredients and stir quickly.

  6. 6

Transfer to serving plates and enjoy!
