I made a strawberry cake on my daughter's birthday yesterday as she loves strawberries.
This is the first time I have attempted a fruit cake. Also I have used my homemade strawberry sauce (refer my recipe below link)

Ingredients

Vanilla cake (refer my cake recipe with eggs)
White forest cake
1 cupstrawberries sauce
Strawberry Sauce / Jam
Cream cheese frosting
1 cupwhipping cream
100 gmscream cheese
1/4 cupicing sugar (skip this if you are using non dairy cream)
Sugar syrup
4 tablespoonsugar
1/2 cupwater
Decoration
as neededSprinklers for decoration (optional)
1 cupfresh strawberries for decoration

Steps

Bake the vanilla cake
(May refer link for my recipe below)
Slice the cake in two or three slices.

In a bowl whip the cream and sugar till stiff peaks. Add the cream cheese and mix with a spatula.
Boil together sugar and water till sugar dissolves completely. Cool down completely before using.

Spread the sugar syrup on the cake sponge.Apply the cream on the cake all over. Using a piping bag, pipe the cream making a border on the edge of the slice.
Spread some strawberry sauce in the centre.
Apply some cream on top again
Place the second cake slice on top.
Repeat with the remaining slice.

Apply the cream and cover the whole cake.
Cut the strawberries into half and place them on the sides of the cake and the place some whole strawberries on top.
You can be as creative here as you want.
Sprinkle some sprinklers on the side.

This is the slice when we cut the cake. It was so decadent.
