Pho

I made some boiled chicken and wanted to use the leftover soup for a light dish so I decided to make some pho. It's just flavoured simply with fish sauce. The taste may be simple but it's also delicious.
Use soup left over from boiled chicken. It tastes really good! Recipe by Setsubunhijiki

Pho Pho
Everybody has their "version" of a recipe. This one is by no means meant to serve an example of authentic Vietnamese Pho. This is my version, based on what was easy for me to buy locally for ingredients. It makes a great light meal. Other add ins include grated carrot, tofu, bamboo shoots and water chestnuts. Add what you like and make it your own. Since it can be very salty, make whatever adjustments necessary to your preference. alley927cat -

I received some pho noodles as a gift, so I tried making a pho soup. When I had this at a restaurant I thought the seasoning was a bit on the strong side...but when I made it at home it came out rather like salt-flavored wonton soup.Poach the chicken thigh meat with the skin on to extract more flavor for the soup. If you don't like the skin though, please remove it.You can use green onion, onion, mizuna and so on as the green topping.Add some lemon or yuzu for a refreshing taste. For 1 serving.
