A most loved dish for Breakfast down South. And in this yummy variation, what I did for a change is to give it a new look. I have served these Medu Vadas soaked in tempered Curd. Use of Chillies can be according to one's own preference. Kids as well as adults both love this cool, fluffy and melt in mouth Medu Vadas in this unique style a lot. Iam damn sure about this. This is a prominent feature at our dining table especially for Breakfast on a weekend.

Use homemade Curd for this. It will be thick and much sweeter too. And this one is or sure a healthy Breakfast on any given day. A perfect one for people of all ages. Absolutely delicious and a perfect way to start your day.

Enjoy Cooking with Zeen!

Happy Breakfast Time!

Steps

30 minutes
  1. 1

Soak dal overnight for best results. Grind it into a thick and smooth paste using as little water as possible.

  2. 2

Add onion, half of chopped chillies and coriander leaves. Reserve the other half for tempering.

  3. 3

Add salt and grated ginger too. Mix well and make medium sized vadas. Deep fry in hot oil on medium high heat. Beat yoghurt well using half a cup of water. Do not add more. Add in salt too.

  4. 4

Add the hot vadas into this yoghurt and let them remain soaked in that. See to it that they are fully drenched in yoghurt.

Homemaker by choice and a passionate cook by heart. An aspiring cook who actually never knew anything about Cooking until i became a mother myself. With Motherhood came the responsibilities as well and this was the turning point in my life.I started to learn the ABC's of cooking, taking help from my mother and my MIL. And time just flew. I spread my wings higher and higher. With my love for excellence and innovation, i stepped into a world of homecooks with my exposure to Cookpad one fine day on the social media. And there was no looking back since then and i have not only shared recipes here on this wonderful platform but also have made some lovely friends as well. Today iam successful because of my hard work, dedication and loads of good wishes of my family and my kids in particular.
