Ingredients

  • 2medium size Beetroot
  • 2potato
  • as per requirementBread crumbs - enough to coat
  • 2Bread slice (slice them roughly into tiny pieces)
  • 1Carrot grated
  • 2Onion chopped
  • 3Green chilli
  • 1 tspChilli powder
  • as requiredSalt to taste
  • 2-3 tablespoonsCorn flour or maida
  • 1 tspGinger-garlic paste
  • 1 tspCoriander powder
  • 1/2 tspGaram masala powder
  • 1/4 cupFinely chopped Corianderleaves
  • 3-4 tablespoonsOil
  • 1/2 tspjeera powder

Steps

    Wash and peel the beetroot and potato.Pressure cook beetroot and potatoes for 2 whistles.

  2. 2

    Mash the beetroots and potatoes.To this, add the bread slices,finely chopped onions, carrot,ginger garlic paste,coriander leaves,green chilli,all the spice powder,salt and mix together.

  3. 3

    Divide the mixture into equal sized balls.Prepare cutlets of desired shape & set aside.

  4. 4

    Now make a paste of corn flour with little water. Dip the cutlet in it and roll them on bread crumbs evenly on all sides.

  5. 5

    Heat a flat tawa and drizzle few drops of oil. Place the prepared cutlets on the hot pan leaving space in between cutlets and cook on low flame until the bottom is golden brown.

  6. 6

    Gently flip onto other side and drizzle some oil around the Cutlets cook until golden brown.

  7. 7

    Serve hot with mint chutney
